For This Child I Prayed~

1 Samuel 1:27
I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of Him.

Sunday was a day we will never forget...
ShayleeJoy JingJing was dedicated to the Lord!
The Burgess family shared about their work @ university in China
and the love they poured on the people in Putian City SWI.

The morning began with two littles loving on their baba!!!
SJ's first Father's Day with her forever baba~

Our house was full of love this weekend and
we loved loving on the Burgess family
who was here to speak in our church
and be a part of JingJing's dedication service.

The service was perfect
with the Burgesses speaking, Jing's dedication,
and Josh singing J's song!

We were SO blessed to have family and friends
here to help us celebrate.
A friend with a Putian City son was here all the way from Nashville
and it was SO sweet to spend time getting closer and sharing~
Thank you Heather and Zion for driving so far
and for the precious frame you gave Jing!

Jing loved Ms. Sheryl reading her books~

Besides our two huge families,
we were surrounded by other adoptive families~
the moms and their babies...

The Brooks Family~

The Warwick Family~

We were also loved on by family~

and John Daniel~

This is such a sweet photo of Lydia and Jing.
Lydia loved on Jing when she was still in the orphanage~
she said she would run into the baby room,
scoop her out of the corner and take her outside
where she would sing and dance and pray for her~
Oh Lydia~ how I love you so!!!

Rosie and Sammy~

A cute set of twins~ LOL

After a day of amazing JOY,
it was time to say goodbyes and see you soons~
The sweet thing is we will see the Burgesses again
when we travel to get Will.
They live about 45 min away from where we will stay
so it will be the sweetest thing to be together again soon!

And the MOST bittersweet part of the day
was watching two cars with half my children go driving out of the drive~
Josh and Savannah headed home
and Amelia headed to college.

Scott and I had once again had a VERY emotional Sunday
similar to the one we had the day after the wedding~
change is so hard yet so necessary.
Wouldn't change a thing!!!
Because I am very blessed~

Psalm 45:11~
Let the King be enthralled by your beauty;
honor Him, for He is your Lord.

A Sweet Father's Day~

We had a very sweet Father's Day
(dedicating Jing!)
and celebrating with a house full of love!

What could be sweeter than a dad with his beautiful daughters?
First year for SJ with a forever baba!

A dad with his beautiful daughters and one son?

How about next Father's Day with two sons?!?!
Last year for Will not having a forever baba!!!
(Sent to me by Jennifer along with the video!)

He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children,
and the hearts of the children to their fathers … Malachi 4:6a (NIV)

How Do You Spell D.A.D.?
The time we have with our children is a gift from God.
Depend on God!
Always love them!
Devote your time!

Sunday Snapshot: The Best Daddy

Our daughters couldn't be more blessed
to be loved by the best daddy in the whole world.
He lives an earthly example of their Heavenly Father's love for them
and the kind of man they are waiting for in a soul mate someday.

He loves them with his whole heart
and they adore him without measure.
I know a little girl far away in China
who will be completely blessed
with his precious love for her very soon too!

The girls and I tried to make this day a very special one...
Scott requested a Thanksgiving meal
and we weren't about to disappoint!
Between my sister's and my mom's help,
I was actually able to make my first turkey and dressing! :)
I never miss a photo shoot and today was no exception.

Picnik collage

It was so great to have my parents with Jason, Amy, and Max
here to celebrate the amazing dads in our family...
My Daddy, Scott, and Jason.
We love them all very much!!!

I couldn't be more blessed to have the daddy I have either.
He is the hardest working man I have ever know.
He is quick to temper and quicker to contrition and then atonement.

I love the great passion he has for his family, his farm, and his church!
I wouldn't change him one bit!!!

Fabulous Father's Day

Father's Day was great at our house! We all went to church in the morning, came home to enjoy lunch with our family, and went over to visit my grandfather. We enjoyed an afternoon around the pool and ended the day on the lake! I am so thankful to be surrounded by some of the best dads ever- Scott: the best dad our girls could ever have, my daddy: so proud that he has always SHOWN us what love is, Jason- the dad with the youngest baby at our church yesterday- a joy to watch him love Max, and PaPa: would have been the oldest dad had he been at church! It was a great day to celebrate the wonderful men in our lives!!!

Happy Father's Day

Three very special men in my life: my daddy, my sweet husband, and my 92 year old grandfather. We all enjoyed a great lunch together @ my parents' house and then headed to the lake for the afternoon. Scott thoroughly enjoyed his day and so did we!!!

Father's Day

Father's Day was a great day for our family. One day late I want to pay tribute to the two most important dads I know. First is my own dad whom I have loved the longest. I wrote on his card how proud I am to be his daughter. My dad, Max, is strong, steady, responsible, and hardworking. He has always set such a strong work ethic in front of us. He always took us to church no matter what and always expected the very best from us. I am so thankful for my father.

The second dad I know is the father of my daughters. Scott is the most gentle, kind, loving, secure, easy-going, responsible, unselfish, Christian man. He sets such an amazing example of unconditional love to me and the girls. He puts us first always before himself. He tries so hard to be home on time each day to spend time with us. He would rather hang out with us than golf, fish, hunt, or just about anything else. As a matter of fact, most of what we do, we do as a family. I am so thankful our daughters see such a Godly example of what their soulmate is to be. I already pray with all my heart that each one- Savannah, Amelia, Rosemary, EllaKate, and Shaylee will find the same precious love in a husband that God has blessed me with. I know they are out there, and I pray God's richest blessings on each life.
