Out of Here

Now on day 4 of our snow vacation~
the littles are perfectly fine being here at home
with nowhere to be...
the bigs~
well that's a different story.

They needed to get out today
so I sent them on a few errands...
They headed up the driveway in Amelia's car,
made it about halfway up and started sliding.
13/365
I was watching out the window
and my heart was pounding out of my chest.
They backed back down the drive and tried it again...
Nope... back down...
SO
they thought they might try shoveling the ICE.
That was a lost cause because our drive is SO long~
but on the third try with wheels spinning
and back end fish tailing...
they made it to the top
and were Out of Here.

There is no way I would say I am tired of our days
stranded at home~
it has been precious time with these three beautiful
Originals as they call themselves.
I have not taken one minute for granted...
I have embraced it and am SO grateful for the time!!!
They are out until Tuesday
(although S is headed back for rush this weekend)
and know they will be glad to be back in their routine
but until then...
I am so blessed to be home
enjoying every moment!!!

Another Day of Snow...

Home another day and another day of snow...
EK LOVES to sled~

and SJ likes to watch. :)

Sledding takes a lot out of you
so the afternoon looked like this...

The big kids decided to make snow cream and brownies~

And back out for more snow fun~
11/365

then back in for dinner. :)

I guess we'll do it all again tomorrow~
school's out again. :)

It DID Snow!

Our two littles went to bed last night
hoping and praying for snow today.
I woke several times in the night
and was SO excited to see their wish had come true.
10/365
EK was so excited and said,
"It DID snow mom!".
First thing they both wanted to do was catch
a snowflake on their tongue.

They had a ball out playing with Baba
and I loved capturing it all though my lens. :)

The bigs finally made it up and out as well.
The great thing about our street~
there are plenty of friends to hang out with
and many close enough to come over.

Jason, Amy, and Max came over too~
we enjoyed time outside
and inside!
Girls were out of school today
and will be out tomorrow as well!
Looking forward to another winter wonderland day!

Snow, Snow, Snow!

We were so blessed to have snow this weekend. What do kids that live on the lake do when it snows? Get their lake toys out! All the kids on our street had a ball riding behind a golf cart on a tube that is really meant to be pulled behind a boat. They also launched snowballs with a water balloon launcher and build an 8 foot tall snowman. It was the best of winter days!!!

EK & Max and Snow

EK has been sick for about three weeks and really hasn't been anywhere or played with anyone other than me. Friday we were so excited to have Max over for the day. He and EK play so well and were so excited when they looked out and say snowflakes falling! Priceless!!!

Snow?

No, not much here but we are out of school. It snowed just a little last night after dark but there was none on the ground this morning. The girls slept late and around lunch time, Amelia spotted a little snow (ice) on the trampoline so she went out and made this tiny snowman. Her fingers were purple when she came back in. There is a chance we may have some snow Friday night- we shall see. Savannah had almost 3 inches in Dahlonega, school is closed, and she is supposed to send me pictures of their snowman. I will post when she sends them to me.
