Joy to Love~ When They are Home

the littles really want to hang out with the bigs.

I didn't post this at the time so going back in time a smidge.
Before Valentine's, we bought V boxes to decorate
so the Amelia and Rosie helped EK and SJ.
I think they all enjoyed time spent together. :)

It's not about how much time you spend together,
it's what you do with the time you spend together.

Valentine's Night

Today was a full day~
I had a follow up test around lunch
which turned out to be a wonderful blessing.
About six months ago,
my doctor found a lump and sent me for a diagnostic mammogram.
It was confirmed there was some kind of tumor
but looked to be benign... come back in six months.
Today was six months
and when I went in the lady said,
"Let's take a look to see if it's no worse or maybe smaller."
I said, "Or GONE!"
She smiled.

Guess what?
It was no where to be found...
Our God is greater!!! :) right Donna???

Scott and I decided since I was in Atlanta for that
we may as well spend the night at Ronald M. house
since we have to be at the hospital with SJ @ 7.
We had a couple of reasons to celebrate tonight...
my great report and
Valentine's Day!
SO... where else to go but~

And it was de-li-cious!!!

Best part... toasted pound cake!

Took a couple of photos out front...

and then we were off to the RM house.

The girls played a little while
and then it was time to get everyone in bed.

You can be sure I will fall asleep
praising God for this blessed day
and praying for this precious baby as she has her heart cath
in the morning at 7am.
I am confident He will take care of her too!!!

PS!!! We missed the originals like crazy!!!
We also miss them so much
and hope we are all home in the nest tomorrow night!!!
Love you sweet big girls of mine!!! :)

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen.

Wedding Bands~ Joy to Love

Today's assignment was to post about wedding bands
or some piece of special jewelry.
Before I left home today,
I scanned a couple of photos from our wedding album...
25 years ago in June.
We were babies~ 24 and 21.

More in love now than we ever dreamed we'd be!!!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day

Let me tell you a story...
Savannah and Josh took a trip to Tennesee: Josh has family there. He got her tickets to a dinner cruise on the Tenn river (Friday) and Savannah bought him tickets to the Vols basketball game (Saturday). They got there mid afternoon Friday and dressed for the cruise. They sat down for dinner and Josh put out a little white box. She emailed me and said... "Look". We saw the box, I asked her what it was and that was all we heard for about 45 minutes... We finally got another email that said, "It is diamond earrings and I got a migraine and I threw up". Oh my... on a dinner cruise and sick- what a terrible time for a migraine. She did feel better but not herself until today. They have had a fun time and pray they have a safe trip home tomorrow!!!

J&S Valentines

Today we celebrate a happy day with the girls. Here are a few pictures of them opening their Valentine surprises- looks like Dora and Vera were the hit!!!

Valentine Girls

Do you see EK's reaction when she saw money??? Thanks momma- it will come in handy at the beach!!!

And we had big company today... Our sweet best friends from Atlanta, the Cains who live in Athens now came over for a visit. They have such precious kids and their son just gave his heart to Christ this week! What a great testimony to his family! I taught SE and W in school, and GA was born right before we came home from China with EK. It was great to hang out and just talk.

Valentine Hearts

As you know, EllaKate and I are spending lots of time downstairs. We always beging school with calendar and today she wanted to cut but has finished both of her Kumon cutting books. I decided today was the day she needed a Real art project. I drew hearts on construction paper for her to cut out. I told she could decorate any way she chose.

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! The girls wanted me to wake them up early to do a little celebrating before school. They went into the kitchen to find some Valentine surprises. Amelia got a new tennis bag and shirt, Rosie a couple of shirts, and EllaKate a dress, tent, umbrella, and mail kit. Have you been to Target lately? Cute stuff! The tent and umbrella came from there with a focus on the Little Miss Spider books. Also there is new thing there called Bloom Activity Sets- I bought EllaKate the mail kit and she loves it. She has mailing letters and postcards all morning. We miss Savannah and Dad today. I hope they are surrounded by love and happiness today!!!

I had wanted to post a Thankful Thursday yesterday but after I got home from dropping the girls at school, I came down with a doozy of a migraine. I was sick all day and finally got an appt to see the dr. He gave me The Shot and sent me home to sleep it off. I woke up this morning dizzy and weak but feeling much better now. We had to go into Atlanta for a closing so I am just now getting to post.

Thankful Friday...
I am so thankful to live near my mom because she is here to help me with the girls. As you probably know they go a thousand places each week and they had to be carted around yesterday. Mama came down to take them while I went to the dr. I am so thankful to have her so close for MANY reasons. So Mama, I am so thankful for you!

While I was so sick here at home, my doorbell rang and there stood the florist delivery lady. She had this beautiful bouquet for all the girls! Scott was in Denver on business so he sent us flowers. He wasn't due to come home until today but he got an earlier flight home and drove the 2and1/2 hours to get home to take care of me.

I am so thankful for my precious husband- my best friend and for our amazing marriage!!!

Valentine's Day

EllaKate was the only one home for a photo shoot although all the girls had a wonderful day! Each received money from Memommy/Pop and Aunt Susan/Uncle Tony!!! They also got some new earrings to wear to school. EllaKate got some new dolls and a new book. She loved setting them up and playing with them.

You may be wondering how the paperchase for our little one in China is going. Well, our CCAI application was approved, we went to orientation, have an appointment with Heather (our Social Worker) on Monday, have most of the paper work done, have our police clearance reports, and have both had our physicals!!! Whew..... we hope to get our dossier done fairly quickly!!! So far so good!!!
