CNY Lunch

Today we met a big group of adoptive families
@ Lyn's Bistro to celebrate CNY!
It was tons of fun and perfect for lots of photos!!!

I think my favorite thing was
no matter how long it's been since we've seen
each other, it's as if we were just together.
Conversation came so easy!!!

All my beautiful friends!!!

There were 16 beautiful miracles
in these two photos~
two went home early so that made 18!

Donna was there with her precious children
and we shot all these pics
because she helped every single one of these babies
come home to their forever families.

EK summed it up perfectly when I put her to bed tonight~
"This was a GREAT CNY day~ especially the party."
Can't wait until we all see each other again!!!

How They Look

Tomorrow is Chinese New Year~
the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays.
Each year we decorate
and celebrate the culture of our girls' birth country.

EK was very excited to help make
beautiful lanterns
to hang around our house.
SJ was happy to play with them. :)
As we went back to our rooms
to dress and make beds,
the light in my bedroom was amazing.
I had a brainstorm to dress the girls
in their Chinese silks
for a CNY photo shoot.
I'll let you decide if it was success~
I definitely think so!!!

This is 'How they Look'~
precious Chinese girls celebrating
their Chinese culture.

I am linking up with Joy of Love~ Day 2.

Chinese New Year Party

Lucy invited several families to meet together @ Lin's Bistro in Atlanta (Lin being a VIPart of our story- later) to celebrate CNY. It was such a wonderful time for EK to see all her precious Chinese friends and for me and Scott to catch up with our friends. They are all the kind of friends that you don't see for a long time and when you do, it's just like we were together just the other day. The only sad part was Mill getting a migraine on the way in and was sick the whole time. Hoping she feels better by morning!!! They have the week off for winter break so she at least gets to sleep in. Praying your year of the tiger is healthy and prosperous!!!

Celebration!

Scott stopped by PF Chang's on the way home and brought home some great eats!!! Well just when you think the celebration is all planned... Scott has to stay late for work, Rosemary has to cheer after school, Amelia has to be at a basketball game @ 7:15, and Savannah is where she should be- school. We made the BEST of it!!! The celebration was all about eating and singing 'Happy Match Day' before blowing out her candles on a piece of Great Wall of Chocolate!!! Yum!!! It was the perfect night at the end of a perfect day!!!

Happy CNY

We were invited to a Chinese New Year party @ Dick Deitz' house on Sunday but were unable to go since we were @ Amelia's meet. On Monday we had our first social worker visit for the new baby's adoption and we dressed EllaKate in the outfit we bought her to wear when we were in China. She looked adorable!!!
