Joy to Love day 12~ The Eyes...

As you can well imagine,

I couldn't choose just one pair of eyes

so decided to capture them all~

in manual!!!

I took a fabulous photography class Thurs night

with my sweet friend Amanda @

Everyday Elements.

If you have been thinking of taking a class,

she's your girl...

very talented and affordable!!!

Now back to the eyes...

At first I thought of sharing the spaces each of rest~

but you've seen all that...

And THEN I thought of a little red space

that came in the mail

from my sweet mom for my birthday...

It is a Kelly Moore Hobo bag

and the perfect size for an amateur like me. :)

Holds my camera with a lens plus two other lenses or a flash.

Lots of pockets for organizing

and probably my favorite thing is the color~

RED... for China!!! :)

I guess you could say

my camera has a space to be comfortable now too

(and not in the bottom of my purse).

Joy to Love

A Photo Shoot

The girls were out playing yesterday

and the light was just so beautiful,

I grabbed my camera for a little photo shoot.

Amelia came home from getting her hair cut

and guess who went running to her???

Rosie wasn't home for the shoot

because she was cheering at her last

home JV football game~

What a beautiful cheerleader!!!

We were able to go for a little while...

and made home in time to keep Max for a little while.

SJ just kind of sat back and watched Max~

he is a ball of energy and too fast for her. :)

But... I bet you can guess who can play right along side him???

Hmm ummm... EK! :)

Scott Kelby's Photowalk in Greenville, SC

Saturday I stepped out of my comfort zone of being home

and drove to Greenville for the Scott Kelby PW.

I met my new friend Ellie

and we followed photographers around

asking them a million questions

and shooting lots of things that caught our eye.

I am not really a landscape photographer...

would much rather shoot people,

but Greenville had so much charm and lots to capture with my lens.

It was just the best day enjoying my favorite hobby,

hanging out with a sweet friend,

and making a NEW one!!! :)

Black and White Wednesday: Editing

Photography is such a complicated hobby most days.

Every once in a while, you get an image that has potential.
I am guilty of looking for the easy edit
because I always want to use so many of the images I shoot.

I chose this image today because it has a hint of catch lights~
something I am NOT good at and want to be desperately!

Pretty sure I should have done the eye edit first but oh well...
still not what I am striving for but a start.
If you have any suggestions for me...
I am oh so ready to learn and try new things.
PS... I know there are presets, actions and textures, etc out there
but you know we are fundraising for ShayleeJoy
so I'm not able to buy anything like that right now.
Maybe someday. :)
