Last Saturday while Amelia was getting ready,

SJ chose a princess dress to wear.

Amelia picked her and they looked in the mirror together~

SJ asked, "Don't we look beautiful?".

Oh yes!!! Very beautiful!!!

Prom 2011~ A Black Tie Affair

Prom has been on our minds for a few months now

and the dress being the most important of decisions.

This was the first year Amelia got to 'buy' a dress

instead of borrowing one.

She knew exactly what she was looking for

and found it in a wonderful shop in Athens...

High Maintenance.

Today was a day of makeup, hair, and nails. :)

John Daniel came over around 5:15 for a few photos...

Rain couldn't even keep them from being excited!!!

We left home and met the crowd

at Cateechee Country Club for group photos.

After photos, they loaded the party limo

and headed to dinner.

They are all meeting back at Brooke's for breakfast

and then to Sarah's to sleep. :)

Amelia's Prom

Everyone knows I LOVE a great chance to shoot photos of my family~
especially something like PROM!
You probably also know I like to shoot LOTS of images!
Saturday was no exception...
after all was said and done~
I had about 160 shots to choose from.

I narrowed them down to the best of the best
and had to include ALL of these.
Hope they capture you like they have me!!!

Mama came down to see Amelia before we left for pictures.

Amelia went to prom with her boyfriend Jake.
We met his family @ FB church for pictures.


The sister brigade was critical in the success of this night.
The big girls all went to the hair and nail appts together. :)

There were 4 couples in their group
and they all went to dinner in Athens before prom.


Yes... there were tears when she rode off
for an evening of dreams come true.

not sure why~ think he was just taking it all in.
