Pinkalicious

11:50~ Handed off JingJing to a sweet nurse named Stacy and made our way to the waiting room to wait with our family.

1:30~ Had our first call from OR. Jing went under great and surgery has begun. Bless Dr. Kanter.

2:30~ Second update from OR~ Jing is doing great. She's on the heart lung machine and the repair is almost complete. Will have another call in about an hour. God is SO faithful!!!

3:30~ Third update from OR. Jing is doing great. Off the heart lung machine and repair is complete. Putting in chest tubes and surgery complete in little over an hour. Waiting on Dr. to come out. PTL!!!!!

4:15~ Fourth update~ surgery is complete and she is fine. Will see the surgeon in about 20 min.

4:30~ Met with Dr. Kanter and he gave us a great surgery report. Able to fix the VSD between her two lower chambers. Able to salvage the pulmonary valve which is HUGE!
Great prognosis!!!!

Out sweet nurse Sarah explained every single tube coming
out of JJ.
Really amazing to see and understand it all.
She said JJ was doing GREAT and thought the breathing tube would come out some time tonight.
Her sats are already at 99.
I remember when we got JJ in China
I thought her hands were dirty
but finally realized she was blue.

5:30~ We were allowed to go in and see her.
When we came in,
I didn't even recognize her...
She was pink and completely beautiful!!!
And upon further observation...
we have Ms. Pinkalicious~
Pink hands and fingers...
Pink feet and toes.
I guess in hindsight,
I really didn't know how blue JJ really was
until I saw how pink she was after surgery!!!

Scott and I want to thank each and every one of you
for your prayers, texts, comments, and emails today.
They have meant the world to us
and helped us get through a very emotionally draining day.
God blessed us BIG today through each of you
and a very skilled and amazing Dr. Kanter.
I pray he sleeps like a baby tonight!!!

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.

  12. Those "pink" pictures are just amazing! And I continue to be amazed at God's perfect timing...going back a couple of years. He kept working on YOUR heart because he knew there was a LITTLE heart that would need healing in Sept. 2010. Gives me goosebumps! What a testament to your faith, Shay!
