Great Weekend!

Sunday was a big day for us. We had a CCAI meeting downtown so we decided to visit North Point Community Church with our friends, the McCollums (from our old neighborhood). If you don't already watch Andy's podcasts, you HAVE to watch the series he is doing now on Staying in Love. It was awesome to hear his third one in person. Good stuff!!!

We always paint EK's toes before church each Sunday so I took a pic of her waiting for them to dry. She won't move until she knows for sure they are ready.

We all grabbed a quick lunch and headed downtown for the meeting. Kids weren't invited so Josh and Savannah took the girls to Atlantic Station to hang out while we were there. It was great to see Josh & Lily from CCAI. They did a great presentation and helped all families see the big picture and know for sure we are in for a long wait but a completely blessed one. We already know that when we look at EK each and every day- she is a miracle God chose for us long before we even knew ourselves. I've said it before but just have to say, God already knows ShayleeJoy too. He knows when and where- I just have to stay out of the way and let Him be in control. Easier said than done, but willing to completely trust Him with it all!!! Thanks CCAI for all you are doing to bring us ShayleeJoy!

After the meeting we went to my fav restaurant- Maggiano's! YUM! Headed back to Gwinnett to drop off J&S. Josh's parents brought Zoe to see EK- she loved her!!! Thanks Barbara & Ben!

It was a great day but so wonderful to pull into our garage and be home safe. I completed a scrapbook of EK's one year old year this weekend, ordered it and should be here by Friday. I think she will LOVE it! Show you later.

Blessings,

  1. Our "littles" both have the same sandals! I can't imagine the "wait" as it is now - no magic words....

  2. I love that you are able to see the big picture and realize that it is all in His timing. It doesn't make it any easier, I am sure. But your faith and patience will come to fruition. I for one can't wait until that day! Hugs sweet friend!
