Simplify and Focus...

I had a long drawn out post written about
all the changes and challenges
I have gone through personally
since coming home from China
and was really thinking of publishing but
God confirmed this morning what He has been saying to me
the last two weeks....

Simplify and Focus...
What does that mean?
Simply Focus on HIM!!!
Have to be honest and say HE has been last lately
instead of first.
That's it...
That's the bottom line~
While reading Jesus Calling this morning Sarah Young
said it so clearly...
everything going smooth and easy
isn't what I should be searching for...
Life isn't always going to be smooth and easy...

James 1:2
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,
whenever you face trials of many kinds.

Life is going to be lovely, crazy, messy, sad,
scary, happy, fun, exciting, boring, etc.
I have a very blessed life~
My job is to give it away everyday
and serve Christ diligently in ALL I do!!!
This video popped up in my google reader today
and I don't think it was accidental...
It was God!
Thank you God for everything!!!

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Psalm 139:9-10 (NIV)

9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

  1. Sharon,
Without the long drawn-out post I don't know what you've been facing, but will pray for you anyway. And you know, every famous person in the Bible strays, doubts, gets angry. Sometimes it's pretty comical how last God is to them and yet they are the great examples for us. I think faith not trusted is naivete.
    Blessings,
    Ruby

  2. I'm sorry that you've been going through a hard time. I look at all you have done in the past four months and I am just amazed. You have helped Jing adjust to her new life, nursed her through heart surgery, and made car trips to keep her in touch with her little friends. Your home always looks lovely; EK and Jing are dressed beautifully each day; and you have hosted your relatives for holiday meals. Meanwhile you are homeschooling EK, helping Amelia chose a college and working on plans for Savannah's wedding! What a full plate! Hope you can take some time for yourself along the way.
