Ronald McDonald House

When we found out JingJing was going to stay,
we had to figure out where we would sleep.
Our nurse told us all about the RM House
and we were able to get a room!
When your child is in ICU, you are allowed to be with them
from 9:30-6:30 during the day and 8:30-6:45 at night.
There is no sleeping there.
You have to sit up in a rolling style chair
and Scott was adamant that I come with him and sleep.
He reminded me what a fix he would be in
if I got sick from exhaustion...
And what a beautiful place it is to be!
We actually came out to the hospital
not even thinking we might have to stay.
So we didn't bring anything with us.
We made a Target run for necessities
and came back for a good night's rest.
So thankful for all the coins and bills
you have ever dropped in the boxes at McDonald's~
there are many families being blessed right now
because of your generosity.

You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
2 Cor 9:11

  2. I'm so glad you were able to get in. We stayed there for a week once. You really come to realize just how much it means when people donate.
I hope you both have been able to rest.

  4. I don't give every time at McDs (depends if I have cash or am using plastic), but when I give I dump a bunch! We have one here in NH and they just make such a difference for people.
