A Good Couple of Days

JingJing has had a GREAT couple of days.
Her sats have fluctuated but all in all she's doing great.
This morning I was able to go in to see her about 9am.
When she saw me,
she burst into major tears and did not want me to pick her up.
Completely mad at me.
I picked her up anyway and tried to get her to look at me
or touch her hand...
she wouldn't have anything to do with me
and cried for about 30 minutes.
Finally between singing to her and holding her tight
and feeding her puffs,
she forgave me and we were friends again.
All the nurses were amazed how much she changed
once she was secure again in my arms~
lots of smiles, laughs, and fun!!!
Dimples too! :)
She has been such a good baby about the crib
and we have read her books a million times,
wrote on her magna doodle, watched movies,
and ate lots of yummy things.
Scott ran EK home today to stay with the girls
and got our things to stay her for a while.
When he walked around the corner,
JJ knew right away 'fun Baba' had arrived!
We were able to meet our surgeon today~ Dr. Krishbom.
He was very straight forward, not sugar coating anything.
Her TOF is a little more serious
than previously thought but we know God chose
this child, this time, and this place.
We are completely giving this whole thing to Him
and allowing HIS will to be done!

Dr. Krishbom is the best
and JJ is in the best of hands~
the drs and God's!
Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow around noon.
We would appreciate your prayer during her 4-5 hour
surgery and recovery.
Bless you all!!!

To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!

  3. First of all, your daughter is GORGEOUS (well, they both are actually)! Congratulations!

I found your blog through Rebecca who you traveled with in China. Anyway, I have a friend, Robyn, who brought her son home from China in the winter with uncorrected TOF. I knew I recognized the RMH in your pictures, it's the same RMH she stayed at when her son had surgery at Egelston 5 days after they arrived home from China!!!

I e-mailed her a link to your blog.....she's a wonderful woman of faith, and I think she would be a great encouragement to you. I actually think she lives in or around Athens. (Not being from that area myself, I can't recall.)

Anyway, I will be praying today as JingJing has surgery!!!

  5. Praying for this monumental day in your daughter's life. Praying God holds her heart in His hands, and guides the hands and thoughts of the surgical team. Praying you have indescribable peace as you wait, and that the waiting will be over quickly. And praying this experience serves as a way to show your sweet baby that Daddy & Mommy are here to stay.

  12. We are praying for you and for JingJing. I had hoped to see you last night, but by the time I could step away you had already left. JingJing is a sweet, precious girl--everyone on the unit adores her. She is in THE BEST hands. Stay strong, try to sleep when you can and (((take care of yourself))) so you can take care of your precious daughter when she wakes. We love our children and our families....and we LOVE what we do.

at Church to pray as healing begins for your daughter. So blessed to know the Great Healer and know how much He loves us. Praying in North Carolina.
