God Blesses Unexpectedly

A BIG surprise was in my inbox yesterday.
A new pic of my baby!!!

2010 May China Trip 146-2
Isn't she just the sweetest??? EK thought so and that was BIG!!!

As I sat listening and praying Sunday...
I heard God say clearly,
"Be intentional with the girls over the next days."

Up to this point I had been just like some other waiting families...
desperately wanting new info, completed steps, quick wait.
I sat praying for my family and the major changes that will take place
and God spoke.
A GREAT peace washed over me and I knew I had HEARD!

So I immediately made a promise to make the last days of waiting
INTENTIONAL.
Intentionally spending time in the here and now
and not just waiting for what is to come.

One of the best pieces of advice a friend has given me through this wait is
"Live each day as it is because one day it will all change for the good and the less good".
God clearly confirmed this advice to me.

So... the NEW picture?
Just shows that when we let GO and let God...
He will bless in the unexpected and allow our heart JOY!
ShayleeJoy!!! :)

What will this day look like and all the ones to follow?
Intentional... whatever God wants that to be.
I am following His lead!

  1. So sweet and such true words. So often we miss the joy of today looking towards tomorrow.

  2. Blessings are so sweet...but especially when they are followed by our obedience! And speaking of sweet, that little girl of yours is a sweetheart!!! Can't wait for her to come home! :)

  4. God said the SAME thing to my heart! not those same words but that same attitude and approach. that was back at the beginning of may and i have felt SOOO much more peaceful too!!!! aren't you so glad that God loves us enough to calm us down so we can be better mothers, wives and more patient "waiters" :)

Looks like we're on the same timeline & with the same agency.

  6. Yes, she is beautiful; the urge to cuddle her must be making you nuts. It's awesome that you have an updated photo, though-make the wait easier.

We too are trying hard to be intentional, enjoying the now...day by day.
