ShayleeJoy Jingjing Ankerich

linjingjing1

Today is a JOYful day!!! We received PA (pre-approval) for our precious daughter in Putian City, Fujian, China. Her name is Lin Jingjing and she is 30 months old. Her name means Brilliant and All Glittering - what a beautiful visual picture!

On Tuesday night, Feb 9 Scott and I were watching tv when we received an email with the file attached. We both took a deep breath and opened it... to say the rest was history is exactly what I have to say... we both knew at first sight she was our daughter but we didn't tell each other at the time. We had until Thurs @ 4pm PST to accept or decline.

Our next step was to send the file to doctors who could evaluate and give us information concerning her needs. I was up until 2 or 3 in the morning sending her file and joining every yahoo group I could find. The doctors were all unanimous of the diagnosis and treatment with our precious pediatrician helping us make the final decision. She was so supportive and made us feel at peace about this precious little one.

On Wednesday night, we danced around and around all the info we had complied in such a short time. When it finally came down to it, we asked for a girl- God gave us a girl, we asked for the special need heart- God gave it to us, and we asked for 1-4 year old and God split it right down the middle- 2 and half year old. What more did He have to do to show us we were looking at our precious ShayleeJoy??? I asked Scott what he thought and he said, "She had me the moment I saw her face. " And I said, "Me too!!!"

On Thursday we accepted her referral and sent LOI (letter of intent). We were so amazed to wake up this morning with word that we had received PA (11 days)!!! We are so excited and completely in love with our precious little girl. We are finishing up our dossier and hope to get logged back in as quickly as possible. Then from our new LID (log in date), we will wait 5-6 months before we travel.

I also want to unveil my Adoption Auction Blog created to raise funds to bring sweet ShayleeJoy home. It is called A JOYful Heart and comes from a scripture God gave me the morning I began working on it. Proverbs 17:22 says, "A joyful heart is good medicine." This verse spoke volumes to me. I felt like God told me that little Joy's heart was created by Him and He would heal it with His Good Medicine!!! So I ask from the bottom of my heart, please take a leap over to A JOYful Heart and decide if you could donate an item or bid on an item listed. If you have your own blog, please consider putting my button on your blog as well. Any help you can give will bring us closer to our precious little ShayleeJoy JingJing Ankerich. I pray God's richest blessings on you and your family!!!

Blessings,
Photobucket

  1. This page would not load fast enough! She is just...I can't even come up with the right words! I have tears! You all were the first ones close to us to adopt. Through you God opened my eyes to the possibilities of growing our family through adoption and I pray that He will use our family to open others' eyes! Thank God for ShayleeJoy! (And can I just say this makes me want to start paperwork again! Soon I'm sure!) Praying for your family during these long 5-6 months!
