Papa's 90th Birthday

My grandfather turned 90 years old on Friday, June 30. We decided to give him a great celebration. We invited many family members, all the neighbors, and a few golfing buddies. It was a grand time. We enjoyed great barbecue and fellowship. What an amazing example PaPa sets for all who were there as to what helps a person get to 90 years of age: a personal relationship with Christ, an active life, and lots of love from people all around. We always say, PaPa never meets a stranger and always comes home to tell us about a great experience he had with someone he met that day. We love him very much and pray for him, health and happiness.

Happy 3 Month EK Day

We have had Ella Kate for 3 months now. In some ways, it feels like she has always been with us. She is doing so well! She is eating table food for the most part and drinking from her cup. She is standing up alone and taking steps to something in close range. She loves her sisters being home each day!!! She can barely take naps because she always wants to be playing. She amazes us each and every day!!! We are having the time of our life with this precious little Ella!!!

20 Years Together

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. Mama came and kept Rosemary and Ella Kate while Scott and I went away for the night to Snowbird Lodge (pictures to come). We enjoyed the time together but really missed the girls. This is a picture of us holding a gift they made us. We are so proud of it and of them especially. We are blessed beyond belief!!!

Amelia @ Ormond Beach

I have posted a few pictures of Amelia on her beach trip with the youth group from our church. I can't find any of Savannah. They are both having a great time - actually they are both on the bus headed for home today. We will be glad to have them home! The best part of the trip was that Amy and Jason were there too. This is a very cute picture of Jason and Amelia hanging out at the restaurant last night. Click on the picture and get a look at more.

Father's Day

Scott had a happy Father's Day. We all got up and gave him cards and gifts. We got ready for church and headed out. After church, we went to lunch with Morgan's family. Ella Kate loves them all so much!!! We came home to see Memommy and Pop. They came to visit PaPa for Father's Day. Our neighbor was selling a golf cart so Pop went up to see it. He bought it! Jason and Scott helped him get it hooked to Memommy's car. We made homemade ice cream that was sooooooooooo delicious!!! Ella Kate was so wound up, she had a hard time getting to sleep.

Amelia Gets Braces

Before

After
Amelia went to the orthodonist on Tuesday and got her braces. Her teeth have been very sore, but you would never know because Amelia never complains. She has taken advil all week and that has helped. We think she is beautiful with them on. She and all her friends now are in the 'braces club'. Rosemary can't wait to go now!

EK Goes to the Doctor

Ella Kate went to the doctor today for her second round of shots. She knew exactly where we were. As soon as the nurse came in, she was upset, especially when we laid her down on the black table. Dr. Morgan checked her ears for infection, but they were clear. She thinks Ella is picking up germs that she can't fight off and gets a cold. She put her on a mantainance med - we hope it helps her nose stay clear. Ella also had to get 5 shots. Two in one leg, one in the other, and one in each arm. Needless to say, she sceamed. Amelia and Rosemary went for checkups as well, and each had to get blood work and shots. They were real troopers and helped sooooooooooooooooo much with Ella!!! It has always been tradition to go to the toy store after shots so off we went. Ella and Rosie found a treat, and Amelia wants to go to the mall for a shirt. I guess that is fair. We are all glad this day is coming to an end. We are off to the pool for a little swim before bed.

14 Months Old

Yesterday Ella Kate was 14 months old. The months are flying by! We have been home a little over 2 months, and Ella has learned so much! She loves to look at books and be read to. She is trying to stand. She can pull up and cruise the furniture. She says many words and signs many others. We are having a ball this summer with her!!!

Where's Savannah

Savannah left last Friday for the annual Choir Tour with our church youth group. They made their way to Mobile, Al and went to Gulf Shores for a day at the beach. This is a picture of her buried in the sand. Click on this picture to see a few more of the trip. Also click on this link and few the wonderful website Morgan has set up for the youth program @ our church, Breakfree Ministries.
